Slime feeling sticky or stiff? Don’t worry! Here’s how to fix it easily.

Sticky Slime
Why is my slime sticky?
If your slime feels sticky, it means it is under-activated and needs more activator.
You can use a pre-made activator from our shop—our Magic Pens are perfect for fixing sticky slime.
How to make activator at home:
Add 1 tablespoon of borax (the full borax packet included in your order) to 1 cup of warm water. Mix well until fully dissolved. Your activator solution is ready!
How to activate your slime:
Add the activator slowly to your slime. Start with a few drops at a time, then knead the slime thoroughly. Repeat until you reach your desired texture.
Be careful—adding too much activator can over-activate the slime and make it hard.
Important tip:
If your hands are very warm, your slime may feel sticky even if it’s properly activated. Simply add a small amount of activator to your hands before playing, and the stickiness will disappear.
Stiff Slime
Why is my slime stiff?
Slime can feel stiff if it is over-activated or has been kept in cold temperatures.
Step 1: Warm it up
First, try warming your slime:
-
Place it near a heater or in a warm area for a few hours
-
Put the closed container in a bowl of warm (not hot) water for a few minutes
-
Slowly warm it up by playing with it using your hands
Step 2: Soften if needed
If temperature isn’t the issue, your slime may be over-activated.
-
For clear glue slime: add a small amount of clear, unscented hand sanitizer
-
For white glue slime: add a small amount of unscented lotion
Add only a tiny amount at a time, knead well, and repeat if necessary until the slime softens.
